Banana Leaf Rice @ Passion of Spices, Penang

There are a few usual restaurant names we can relate to banana leaf rice in Penang but this is the first times we come Passion of Spices, despite they have been operating for years. As dining is still prohibited, we ordered via food delivery for 2 different banana leaf rice set - chicken and mutton. Passion of Spice lives to the reputation of serving banana leaf even though food delivery, as there are 3 side vegetables being given in decent quantity along with curries and dhal. 

Both of the banana leaf set was alright, though we felt the mutton curry was skewed toward sharp taste  with strong acidity. Perhaps too much particular spices were dashed into the curry. The curry also offer strong salty sensation, and those who enjoys a strong savoury taste may appreciate it.

Overall, Passion of Spices offer an alternative to those popular banana leaf rice restaurants in Penang should you are looking for authentic banana leaf rice in Penang, though the taste buds and preference may be different for everyone.
