Rattan Cafe By the Garden @ Sungai Ara, Penang

Rattan Cafe By The Garden is a surprise find by us in Sungai Ara. Many objects in the cafe, starting from the signboard, chairs, tables, swing and even a rocking horse are made from rattan. Rattan cafe even offers a spacious exterior seating area and kids can really have fun there. Although we enjoyed the cozy vibes at Rattan Cafe By The Garden, the food here was subpar and hindering us from making a return visit in future. 

Rattan Cafe By The Garden offers a mixture of local inspired and Western dishes such as Nasi Biru, chicken chops and pasta. We had a Pandan Nasi Biru Kapitan Chicken (RM 15.90) and Grilled Chicken Nachos Cheese (RM 17.90) and the taste was average. Kapitan Chicken was more on the least spicy and sweet side. 

Strange part was on the grilled chicken where it was not evenly cooked and about quarter of it was not fully cooked, even on the surface... then the service crew and kitchen just "refire" the not fully cooked part and serve it back to us... 

The Signature Kaw Coffee (RM 5.50) was not averagely thick only and Tuk Tuk (RM 7.90), which I supposed is a mixture of coffee and tea was normal.
