Ang Ang's Roastery - Icon City @ Penang - Crisp of Life

Ang Ang's Roastery has gained its fame and well known for brewing great quality coffee with outlets in Seberang Perai area. They have steadily expand their outlets after their first establishment in Alma - to Bukit Mertajam, Kulim, Icon City and lately into Penang island too. We made a maiden visit to Ang Ang's Roastery lately in their outlet in Icon City (tucked hidden in a row of shoplot adjacent to Iconic Hotel). They have a small menu for food, featuring lunch box style light food and pastries. The cafe simplicity and minimalism design that probably following Scandinavian interior design made here a comfortable place to chill out.

Food here is reasonably priced at the range between RM 14 - RM 18 and it was prepacked food that just needed the heating work from Chef Microwave. However, the taste was fine and the portion is relatively generous.

Take the example of Chicken Rice Bowl (RM 17) which we had. It came with a generous portion of nicely grilled chicken sitting on top of a bedding of salsa along with mixed vegetarian. Gentleman probably would be looking to top up with either rice or baked beans (RM 2 each) as carbohydrates were apparently lacking in this dish.

Another dish we had is Chicken Quesadilla (RM 14). It has minced chicken with corns, and to be eaten with sour creams. Nothing really spectacular about this dish but it goes well with the palate.

Our drinks here - Iced Chocolate & Cappucino, along with a croissant. The croissant is crisp and buttery, with crumbling all over the small plate when I chewed on it. Our girl loves it much.
