The 92's Cafe @ Kuantan, Pahang

The 92's Cafe is one of the cafes in Kuantan that has an unique selling point of offering woodfire pizza. The cafe has a simple and minimalist blackish grey interior design, and it is hard to miss out to know they serve wood fire pizza with the giant woodfire oven at the counter. We came here with high expectations but left with great disappointment. The woodfire pizza was nothing spectacular to shout about, and the high price of the food here was not justified by its quality. 

In fact, the price of the food here is similar and even higher than some of KL's cafes. 

We were pretty elated to learn The 92's Cafe serve woodfire artisanal pizza upon seeing their menu. Apart from the 92s Signature Pizza, they have 5 Formaggi, Salted Egg, Mushroom Land, Blazing Duck, Tomyam Prawns and other that sound very promising. Each woodfire pizza needed at least 20 minutes preparation time minimum after ordering.

The 92s Signature Pizza (RM 42.90) we ordered turned out to be a huge disappointment. The dough was thick and certain parts were as thick as bread. Then the toppings that consist of mozarella cheese, smoked salmon, cherry tomatoes were overkilled by the horrendous kewpie mayo that drizzled like free on charge on top of the pizza. 

For that ridiculous price of RM 42.90, we'd rather spend it on pizza hut that tasted better than this one.

We also had a Grilled Chicken Chop (RM 25.50) that was nothing out of ordinary. There were some uneven cooking that resulted some shiny flesh near the thigh area. Anyway, should give it a skip to this dish if you ever come to here.

Fortunately the coffee here is still alright. The 92s cafe latte is priced at RM 13.50, which I think is a bit high but it has special scent that derived from osmanthus flowers. 

All in all, The 92s Cafe is not a worthy cafe to visit in Kuantan and you could save your tummy space for elsehwere.
