Apart from the famous Kula Cafe in Kuantan, Rasa Sayang Cafe is another cafe worth checking out. Apparently, both of these 2 cafes share the same owner as the famous Kula Mango Cheesecakes can be found here. Rasa Sayang Cafe has a rustic ambiance and a simple menu, offering the likes such as spaghetti, Nyonya laksa, toast, brewed coffee and Vietnamese coffee. The Nyonya laksa here surprisingly turned out to be good.

Not many main dishes are offered here but both the food we had were decent, especially the Nyonya Laksa (RM 10.50). Its taste is similar akin to Penang style laksa, with smooth thick rice noodles and eggs in semi viscous soup. It is not really spicy and even our litlte kid could take the noodles.
Meanwhile, the Spaghetti Basil Pesto (RM 18.90) is pretty standard in taste like those you can get in cafe. The spaghetti noodles was cooked to al-dente but the basil pesto sauce were mild in taste. We topped up with some grilled chicekn to the pesto as a source of proteins.
Drinks selections were pretty standard too with the exception of Kopi Butter (RM 5.90), an uncommon type of Nanyang coffee with a slice of butter topping it. It enriches the flavour by introducing a tad of saltiness and buttery sensation to the cup of coffee.
If your stomach can fit some tidbits, get the Kaya toast here. The toasts are fluffy and kaya is rich and not sweet. It goes well with the coffee.
Of course, the must order here is the famous Mango Cheesecake (RM 9.50). While we were seated there we saw many ordered the Vietnamese rolls there.
Overall, Rasa Sayang Cafe is a pretty decent choice for dining in Kuantan without causing too much bleeding to your wallet.
