It is early December and Eastern & Oriental Hotel Penang is having a full Christmas vibes. The gingerbread house is erected at the hotel foyer, while a gigantic Christmas tree has been erected too.Â
Eastern & Oriental Hotel also continues its annual ritual of making a variety of festive goodies such as Forest Log Cake, cookies, gingerbread house, roasted whole chicken, roasted lamb leg and other for takeaway (subjected to advance booking). At the same time, let's have a look at festive promotion, including Merry Christmas buffet lunch and dinner on Christmas' Eve and Christmas Day at Sarkies.Â

Let's have a preview on what is available in Christmas buffet in Eastern & Oriental Hotel and we are pretty sure it will make you drools.Â
First and foremost, the cravery station is definitely the most sought after in the entire buffet, featuring chicken roulade, roasted whole turkey, oven baked marinated beef and roasted boneless lamb leg. They are delicately prepared, and these proteins are juicy and tender in texture.Â
Get these juicy meats mixed with the sauce prepared including cranberry sauce, creamy grain mustard or mint yoghurt and rest assured your taste palate will be getting a real treat.Â
Other items we previewed in the buffet including a variety of cold cut platters, salad, cheese platters featuring blue cheese, emmetal and camembert accompanied by crackers, bread selections and soup.Â
The chilled seafood section offers a variety of great and fresh seafood including black mussels, scallops, spanner crabs, crayfish, slipper lobsters. prawns, marinated oysters and others. It is worth the value you pay as you have access to a wide variety of great seafood and meats in the buffet.Â
The buffet on the Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or New Year's also features a lot of food in the main entree section, local favourites such as Hainanese Chicken Rice, pasta station and not to be missed the E&O's siganture counter that offers Salmon Fish Curry Head & Roasted duck.
After all the goodies in the stomach, the dessert section definitely caught our attention. These delicactely crafted desserts are both appeasing to both aesthetically and gastronomically. We could not resist the temptation and ended up taking a variety of Christmas desserts here including Mont Blanc, Ginger Creme Brulee, Christmas Fruit Cakes, Berries Pavlova, Yule Log and more.

The Christmas Lunch is available on 24th and 25th December for RM 168 nett for adult and RM 108 nett for child and senior citizen. Meanwhile, Christmas' Eve Dinner and Christmas Day Dinner is priced at RM 228 nett for adult and RM 128 nett for children and senior citizens. Add RM 168 nett for free flow of wines, beers and house pouring spirits. Free flow of Prosecco is additional RM 268.
